Shelly Kuhl

Shelly Kuhl, an Alderperson for the 4th Ward of Brodhead, has served on the Brodhead Library Board for 3 years.

According to nominator Gloria Rosa, “As a board member, Shelly has taken an active role in supporting the library's building project by speaking up for the library at Council meetings, raising funds, taking leadership in organizing the Friends of the Library, donating hours of her time in recruiting volunteers, and working to prepare the new library.”

Gloria said that Shelly has hauled, washed, spray-painted and assembled shelves, overseen the volunteers working at the new library when she couldn't be present, painted walls, washed windows, stained and varnished cupboards, helped with landscaping, vacuumed, mopped floors, addressed 100s of envelopes, and has performed numerous other tasks.

Shelly is obviously a person that can be counted on to support the library in any way that she can.
