  5. Action items
    1. Review 2011 SCLS Delivery budget and make recommendations to Administrative Council.
    2. Determine any planning and information gathering needed to address the committee goal of coordination between ILS and Delivery and improving material handling efficiency.
    3. Adopt general yearly meeting schedule and topics for Delivery Committee.

  6. Other discussion
    1. Home Delivery:  Our delivery model is currently library to library with the patron having to pick up and return materials on their own at their library.  The model of direct delivery to the patron (i.e. the Netflix model) is gaining more popularity and discussion on the national level.  With the new open source ILS and potential for e-commerce, this is something the SCLS library community could consider.  What level of interest do SCLS libraries have in the Home Delivery model?

  7. Next meeting: Set date for August meeting to be held at SCLS Delivery facility at 1601 Gilson St., Madison, WI 53715.  This meeting will include a tour of the delivery operation for committee members.
    1. Review any planning and information gathered regarding coordination between ILS and Delivery and improving material handling efficiency.  Make recommendations for potential solutions to the Administrative Council.
    2. Delivery budget update of any necessary changes that may have impacted the proposed delivery budget that was presented at April 19, 2010 meeting.

  8. Meeting Evaluation
