Marketing & PR Advisory Committee Minutes

  1. Welcome

  2. Approval of minutes from Sept. 15, 2009, meeting -- Approved

  3. Any thoughts about the website or promotional materials now that the project is up and running? -- No thoughts about future action at this point since site had only been active about two weeks. Participants were encouraged to order print promotional materials.

  4. Some funds are available to help offset the cost of videotaping library stories -- Mark explained that some funds are available through the end of 2009 to help offset the costs libraries may have to photograph or videotape library stories. Anyone wishing to use any of these funds should first contact Mark with a request.

  5. What is the next step? Mark will review stories as they come in to determine which should be used online, and which might warrant follow-up for videotaping.

  6. Assignments for next meeting? -- None

  7. Establish future meeting dates (everyone have their calendar handy) -- Nov. 10, 2009

  8. Other business -- None
