Present: Debra Bird, Jenny Endres, Deb Haeffner, Mark Ibach, Peggy Kindschi, and Gloria Rosa.

Review of March 22, 2004, content suggestions for Online PR Toolkit.
Members discussed the list of bulleted items below, which was generated at the March meeting, and determined that everything was appropriate for inclusion in an Online PR Toolkit.
2. Recommend priorities for Online PR Toolkit content.
The bold items in the bulleted list below will be priorities for the Online Toolkit. This is a work in progress, and it is understood that it will change as library marketing and public relations needs change. Mark will begin working on development of these resources and the site. Suggested Content Samples
- Radio and TV PSAs
- Sample press releases
- Calendar of major annual observances (National Library Week, National Library Card Sign-up Month, African-American History Month, Women’s History Month, etc.)
- Calendar of fun planning observances (Ice Cream Day, Lumpy Rug Day, etc.)
- Speaker Directories for both adult and children’s topics (contact UW-Speaker’s Bureau, Humanities Dept., UW-Extension, Department of Workforce Development, Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Dept., State Agencies)
- Periodic press releases to promote various databases
Planning Materials
- Checklist for Basic Program Planning (what steps should you always include when planning a program/event) This might include when to contact the media and what sorts of items to promote.
- Photo Tip Sheet for taking good photos
- Photo Planning Guidelines for planning good photos
- Event Planning Checklist

- How to prepare a program fact sheet
- Suggestions for making the most of your volunteers
- Suggested locations/events for promoting your library & programs
- Ideas to help promote Friends groups
- Newsletter creation/production suggestions to streamline process
