Madison Community Foundation Presents
The Madison Community Foundation has initiated a county-wide collections project, awarding each of the 27 libraries and branches $27,500 each to build specific collections that serve their own community and the entire South Central Library System.
The intiative encompasses all 17 county libraries, nine Madison Public Library branches, and the Dane County Bookmobile.
Enhance Libraries as a Destination – Building each individual library's collection around a niche topic creates destinations for specific, exclusive resources.
Support Unique Communities in Dane County – Niche collections in each library underscore the value, quality and character of each community in Dane County.
Enrich Programming – Linking programming activities to each collection's subject area expands opportunities to partner with local organizations and businesses.
Build South Central Library System Capacity – Ensuring diversity between collections provides greater depth in the resources available to all residents within the county through the South Central Library System.
