| Began marketing LINK Express Delivery Service, a faster
alternative to traditional interlibrary loan service, to area multitype
libraries. Customers place a LINK hold from office/school computer
workstations using institutional library cards. DCLS Bookmobile staff
process the request and prepares materials for route delivery. SCLS
Delivery Service delivers the requested item. This is a new, popular,
fee-based service. |

and WILS, daily Monday-Friday in Milwaukee and 3-day/week to the other
areas of the state. Funding Source: Cost-sharing by participants. |

| Adams, Portage and Wood counties joined South Central
Library System. |

size van combines larger volume carrying capacity with small panel
truck handling. Capable of handling loads of up to 60 red box containers,
or double the carry capacity of its smaller van counterpart with only
a slight decrease in fuel efficiency. |

Major route reconfiguration aimed at reducing driver
fatigue, streamlining material sorting workflow and simplifying evening
vehicle loading & parking by splitting the heavily laden Madison
and Dane County routes in smaller, more manageable components. |

Conducted summer delivery volume weekly sample. Results
indicated a nearly 15% increase over last July. Summer volume maintained
its previous trend whereby SCLS member public libraries' summer volume

1601 Gilson Street. Our new
15,000 square-foot facility contains a sorting area, offices, 20-stall
