Mobile Computer Labs

South Central Library System has two mobile wireless computer labs that member public libraries can request to use for patron/staff training and programs. The equipment is intended for in-library use only.

Each computer lab contains:

• seven laptops
• wireless access point
• multimedia projector
• surge protectors , extension cords and an extra long RGB cable for the projector
• Check availability of Lab 1 and Lab 2
  • Note: availability of packages is not guaranteed as requests are entered when received

Every laptop runs Windows XP and is loaded with Office 2007 (which includes Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher and Word), Internet Explorer 7or Firefox 3 for the Web browser, and Overdrive Media Console 3.1, Adobe Reader 9, Adobe Flash 10, Adobe Shockwave 11, and Quicktime 7.6.

To reserve either or both of the wireless labs, please fill out the reservation form. Equipment will be sent to and from the requesting library through the SCLS Delivery system.
