How to get your SCLS email through Gmail

Step 1: Log Into Office 365 and Change Password

  1. Go to mail.scls.info
  2. Enter your email address and password provided by SCLS.
  3. Click Sign in
  4. Enter the password provided by SCLS in the Old password field and then enter the password you wish to use in the next two fields.
    1. 8-16 characters
    2. Combine at least three of the following:  Upper-case letters, lower-case letters, numbers and symbols
  5. Click Save

 

Step 2: Connect Your Office 365 Account to Gmail

  1. Log into your Gmail Account.
  2. Click Gear icon.Gmail Gear Icon
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Click Accounts and Import.
  5. In the Check mail from other accounts (using POP3) section Click Add a POP3 mail account you own.

  6. Enter your new Office 365 email address and click Next Step 
  7. Add a mail account you own screen

    1. Username:  Enter your full Office 365 email address.
    2. Password:  Enter the password for your Office 365 email address.
    3. POP Server:  outlook.office365.com
    4. Port:  995
    5. Uncheck: Leave a copy of retrieved... (NEVER CHECK THIS BOX)
    6. Check the box for Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail.
    7. Use the Label incoming and Archive incoming options if you want to
      1. If unsure leave unchecked
    8. Click Add Account .
  8. Select Yes, I want to be able to send mail as (new Office 365 email address) and click Next Step
  9. Make sure Treat as an alias is selected and click Next Step.
  10. Select the setting that ends with "(easier to set up)" and click Next Step.
  11. Click Send Verification.
  12. Click Close window.
  13. Go to your Gmail inbox and wait for an email from the Gmail Team. 
  14. Open the message and click the confirmation link.  You will be congratulated if successful.
  15. Go back to your Gmail inbox.
  16. Click the Gear. 
  17. Select Settings.
  18. Click Accounts.
  19. In the Send mail as section, locate your new Office 365 address and click make default.

  20. Select the General tab
  21. Scroll down to the Signature section
  22. In the Signature box select your signature and do a ctrl+c to copy it
  23. In the Signature dropdown menu select your new Office 365 email address
  24. Paste (ctrl+v) in your old signature and update your email address

  25. Scroll to the bottom of the page and Save Changes
