Checking Mail Indicator

Checking Mail in Eudora:

When you checked for mail with Eudora, you would first see a circling yin/yang symbol in the bar at the bottom of the screen.

If there was mail, the mail would download into Eudora.  If there was no mail, Eudora would produce a pop up window that read:

 

Checking Mail in Thunderbird

When you check for mail in Thunderbird, focus on the bar at the bottom of the screen. 

If there is mail, the bar will “report, “Download message “x” of “y” where “y” is the total number of messages that will be downloaded.

If there is is no mail, the bar will “report”, “There are no new messages on the server.”
