1. Call to Order: Chair T. Herold, called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.

3. Action items:

i. Motion: R. Claringbole moved approval. W. Rawson seconded.
ii. Discussion: A. Noel had several questions regarding the mid-year budget versus annual budget amounts, contingency amounts, salary increases/steps and staff bonuses.
iii. Vote: Motion carried.
2020 SCLS System Plan to SCLS Board of Trustees
i. Motion: M. Navarre Saaf moved approval. R. Claringbole seconded.
ii. Discussion: E. Foley had a question about consolidated libraries and why Rome was not included in Adams County on the 2019 plan.
iii. Vote: Motion carried.
4. Reports of action of committees/workgroups
a. Delivery Committee- Will meet 10/10/10. You may view the action items and details in the minutes of the last meeting online. C. Baumann noted there will be an in-service for delivery staff October 16th and all delivery to libraries will end at 10:00 a.m. that day. The in-service will be conducted by Alison Cooley and she will be discussing “Managing stress in the Workplace.”
At the next delivery meeting the committee will discuss creating
a template to post at library exchange points to define “rules of the road” for
library staff and delivery. Also discussed will be feedback on the window tags
on the red bins. Corey would like to do a pilot project with a different
window tag that is “peel and stick” instead of taped to the bins and is looking
for libraries to volunteer for the pilot project to determine how well they
hold up. Another subject that will be discussed is ideas for restructuring fee
formulas with the prospective addition of Marathon County.
A questions was raised about the possibility of purchasing an materials handling sorter. C. Baumann and V. Teal Lovely will be discussing this and researching cost.
b. ILS Committee – Met 9/4/19. You may view the action items and details in the minutes of the last meeting online. Approved the Bibliovation migration timeline and the cluster reps were charged with providing communication to their clusters regarding the latest developments and news. Also discussed was on-site help for the go live date as well as offline circulation.
c. Technology Committee – Did not meet. You may view the action items and details in the minutes of the last meeting online.
d. Consultants: You may view the report in the AC documents online. M. Ibach noted that J. Hoesly is working on a new mapping dashboard which will let libraries select different options to determine where their circulation is coming from and how much the circulation is.
e. Library Innovation Subcommittee: Did not meet in September.
f. Building Needs Assessment Work Group – M. Van Pelt noted the work group determined that the final needs assessment list should be completed at the November meeting.
