Building Needs Assessment Work Group – Kerrie Goeden:  You may view the Power Point presentation in the documents online, which outlines the BNAW Charge, Goals, Needs & Wants, Site Selection, Financing, Floor Plans, etc.  The new building web page is live on the system web site. Three budgetary factors moving into 2023-2024 include System State Aid, PLSR and the new building budget.

Delivery – Corey Baumann:  You may view the Power Point presentation in the documents online.

Challenges include inflation, fuel, motor oil, Post its, and truck purchases.  Contracted vendors have increased their prices.  We are in the early stages of implementation of the PLSR model.  The Cost Formula Work Group met last month to determine the nominal base fee, volume based fee, and postalized fee for stop count.

Technology Services – Vicki Teal Lovely:  You may view the Power Point presentation in the documents online.

ILS Budget 2023 will have an increase due to usual vendor increases.  An update on ILS services was provided.  There is a pilot for local holds only in place at Marshfield for six months.  The ILS committee will be discussing this pilot to allow other libraries to participate for six months for books only.  Data needs to be identified as well as input from participants.
Technology Budget will include increases because of hardware costs.
The tech team is looking into filtering solutions, new inventory and help desk solutions and infrastructure projects.

Technology Services Cost Formula considerations were discussed.  The consensus was that we should use the data as specified in the current cost formula as it is doing its job to smooth out the impact of changes in circulation.

Consultant Services – Jean Anderson:  You may view the Power Point presentation in the documents online.

Presentation of Plan for Allocating ARPA, LSTA Sparsity and Additional State Aid Funds – Vicki Teal Lovely & Jean Anderson:   You may view the Power Point presentation in the documents online.

2023 Service Considerations for Technology, ILS, Delivery, and Consulting:  A Jamboard was created for the directors to indicate their ideas.  You may view the Jamboard in the documents online.

Discussion of Individual Advantage Accounts – M. Van Pelt:  The Dane County Libraries discussed the ability of SCLS libraries setting up individual advantage accounts.  VER is the only one currently with an individual Advantage Account.  The current policy is on the SCLS website.  If anyone has questions please send them to M. Van Pelt.  She will explain how to set up an individual account for those that are interested.
