Action Items:
Accepted the Director Search Committee’s recommendation of a new system director and offer the position to Shannon Schultz.

1.         Call to Order: 10:01 a.m., G. Poulson, Chair

            a.         Introduction of guests/visitors: None

            b.         Requests to address the Board: None

2. Report and recommendation of the SCLS Director Search Committee 

J. Honl summarized the work of the committee and noted the reference checks were completed for the applicant.  S. Feith inquired if a legal background check was completed. K. Goeden noted once the candidate has been selected, an offer will be made and then a background check will be completed.  The board thanked the search committee for their hard work in selecting a new system director.

3. Action Items:

a. Accept the Director Search Committee’s recommendation of a new system director and offer the position to Shannon Schultz
i. Motion: J. Honl moved approval to accept the Director Search Committee’s recommendation of a new system director and offer the position to Shannon Schultz.  M. Howe seconded.
ii. Discussion: None
iii. Vote:  Motion Carried.

b. Recommend an additional budget item for the new director’s relocation costs
It was determined that a vote would not take place at this time since the candidate may not need to relocate.  It was recommended that if relocation is necessary, SCLS will research the industry standards of relocation costs for guidance. 

G. Poulson will contact Shannon Schultz today to offer her the System Director position.
