Action Items: 
Approved the 2024 Agreement for Cataloging Services between SCLS and the Madison Public Library

a. Introduction of guests/visitors: None

b. Requests to address the Board:  None

Approval of previous meeting minutes: 4/27/2023

a.   Motion:   N. Foth moved approved of the 4/27/2023 minutes.  M. Nelson seconded.
b.   Changes or corrections:  The minutes indicated the May meeting date as June 17^th in error.  S. Feith noted the correction to last month’s minutes need to be amended to note that K. Goeden, not S. Feith, indicated the funding proposal for the new building includes a contingency.

c.   Vote:  Motion carried.

Financial Statements:  K. Goeden provided an overview of the financial statements.   

Bills for Payments:  The payment amount is $108,287.25

a.   Motion:  M. Furgal reviewed the bills for payment and moved approval.  L. Ross seconded.

b.   Discussion:  None

            c.    Vote:  Motion carried.

Committee Reports:  

a. Advocacy:  No report.

b. Budget/Finance & Personnel:  The committee will meet 6/13 at 1:30 p.m. virtually.

Action Items: 

a. Approve 2024 Agreement for Cataloging Services between SCLS and Madison Public Library

i. Motion:  E. Galanter moved approval of the 2024 Agreement for Cataloging Services between SCLS and Madison Public Library.  D. Berland seconded.

            ii. Discussion:  None

            iii. Vote:  Motion carried unanimously.

SCLS Foundation Report: The next meeting will be Tuesday, July 18 at 1:30.  It will be held 100% virtually.  All tax forms have been filed with the state and IRS

System Director's Report:  You may view the System Director report online.  SCLS has received approval for all construction permits at Pankratz and will receive them on Friday after making the payment in person.  MG&E is moving the transformer from the back to the front of the new building.  We are not able to move the server room until June 28^th.  Samantha Seeman is the new director at Cambridge.  Amanda Wakeman will be the director at Columbus.  There are director openings at Cross Plains, Cambria and Pardeeville.

Administrative Council (AC) Report:  All Directors will meet 5/18/2023.  You may view the minutes online. 

Information sharing:  E. Galanter noted the Waunakee High School team placed 2^nd in the WI Civics game finals.  B. Clendenning inquired about doing a roll call at each meeting to determine who is present.  Each person that attends the meeting is recorded as present, absent, or excused and we make sure there is a quorum at each meeting.  A board member should not miss more than three meetings a year.
