Site Updates from David/Devin:

·         Shopko:  Roger Simsiman is still going over a response with his team.  He will update David as soon as he has one.

·         Graham Place:  Devin is working with his team to draw a lot boundary for the Graham Pl land to see how best to accommodate your building needs while also leaving a marketable parcel for the city of Madison. They would prefer to sell less land and keep the excess lot larger for future development. The next step to reducing the parcel size is having Rob begin drawing plans to ensure we don’t cut ourselves short.  Next Steps: Discuss level of interest, and if we’re going to peruse then Rob will draw a rough site plan.

·         Fen Oak:  We discussed previously that the owner of Fen Oak is open to a drastic price reduction of $1.2M if it keeps their property in the running.

·         Discontinued:  I think both Agriculture Dr and Wright St are on the back burner for now based on the site configuration and timing of the sale, respectively.

·         New SiteCICAdded in CIC land to the Rough Order of Magnitude.  Attaching information on the city of Madison-owned Center for Industry and Commerce (CIC). This property is located off of Hwy 51 and is north of Madison College.  Due to its approximate distance of 2.6 miles north, the cost of extending fiber could be around $275,000. The price is fairly low at $2.15/SF, so the total cost of the site may be competitive with other sites. Devin is going to update the property matrix so we can see how this compares to a total cost with other sites.  Next steps: peruse refined costs for MUFN with Vicki? Does this general location work for Delivery?

Bubble diagram Q&A:

·         Rob review questions and answers group had sent

·         Dive into the building details more

·         Any additional or combined shared spaces through internal discussions?

·         Updated legislation for the City of Madison storm water requirements

·         Bringing a civil engineer on board

CONSENSUS (includes newly added consensus points as of 10/28/20)

·         Flexibility

·         Hybrid of remote and on site - not 100% either way for most staff.

·         Design for job needs and requirements not staff member.

·         Collaboration and/or individual work can be done at home or onsite as appropriate.

·         Set schedules so everyone is accessible no matter where they are working.

·         Need to maintain in-person relationships (work and personal).

·         The “team” at SCLS is 50+ people with several smaller teams; admin, delivery, tech, ILS and consultants.

·         Staff will maintain their individual offices, but offices will be more equitably sized.

·         Collaborative space will be added (labs, shared soft spaces) and other common spaces such as the work room, deliverables room and meeting room sizes will be reduced to accommodate the new spaces.

·         Staff will be allowed to work remotely and/or in the office as their positions and duties allow with the understanding that there will be times all staff are required to report in person in order to facilitate and maintain staff working relationships.

11:45:    Homework for Next Meeting:

·         Discuss next steps regarding sites and whether to make an offer

·         Kerrie start BCPL loan process for land/site purchase?
