1.      DBRARN was removed on 12/12/2023, after approval by ILS Committee on 12/5/2023.

b.      Update on ILS Evaluation

                                                              i.      Discussion: A. Gannaway sent out an email asking for volunteers for the work groups.  There is also a webpage that includes the plan and the workgroup recruitment form.  The deadline to volunteer for a work group is January 19.  Anyone can attend the demos even if they aren’t a part of the official work groups. A lead group will be formed with a representative from each cluster.  We are planning to have online demos of the software options in May.  Site visits are tentatively planned for the fall and will be optional.  After that, there will be a period of additional follow-up.  Next year we will be pulling information together and making recommendations.

c.       Collection codes for audio-enabled books

                                                              i.      Discussion: A. Gannaway added this because we talked about this six months ago and planned to review it.  We have two collection codes for audio-enabled books currently.  We wanted to talk about adding more codes for other formats including picture books and readers.  Are additional collection codes needed for these materials?  MAD continues to purchase these in different formats but has no interest at this time in breaking them down further.  SUN agrees.  MID-YS wants to use one collection code and use a call number to differentiate.  There are currently no requests from libraries to add more codes at this point.   M. Warren suggested we keep monitoring this as the collection grows and the need for more codes may come up.  We will revisit this topic in six months.
