Introduction

·         S. Schultz introduced new MCM director Heather Kinkade.

·         S. Schultz shared that the 2026 resource library agreements are in the process of board approval. SCLS and MPL intend to examine the agreements more thoroughly in 2026.

 

ILS Evaluation Lead Workgroup Recommendation

V. Teal Lovely presented the 2024-25 ILS Evaluation Lead Workgroup recommendation that the SCLS LINKcat libraries migrate to SirsiDynix SymphonyWeb/BlueCloud in 2026. Weighted voting indicated 98.8% approval to accept the recommendation and migrate to SymphonyWeb (96.7% response rate).

 

2026 OverDrive Advantage

J. Anderson presented SCLS Advantage Budget. Voting indicated that $40,000 will budgeted for 2026 (35 votes in favor) The second highest vote was $35,000 with seven votes, followed by $30,000 with six votes.

 

Review of Service Priorities and Draft Departmental Budgets for 2026                

The SCLS Coordinators presented service priorities and preliminary budget documents for 2026. Presentation documents are available online for the following:      

 

Administration- K. Goeden 

Goeden discussed budgetary considerations for 2026, including increased cost of benefits, and uncertainty in the future of LSTA grants from IMLS and state aid.

 

Consulting- J. Anderson       

Anderson addressed budgetary challenges for consulting and CE, particularly concerning the anticipated loss of LSTA funds.

 

Delivery- C. Baumann

Baumann presented a fee neutral budget, with all efforts to keep total fees for membership flat.

 

Technology and ILS- V. Teal Lovely

Teal Lovely discussed costs, including fee implications with the ILS migration to SymphonyWeb.
