4.     Discussion

a.     Updates from previous meeting

                                                    i.     Merging older annual serials records

ii.     Change to Books Searching and Matching policy

1.     Approved by ILS Committee April 2, 2025, policy updated April 3, 2025

iii.     Gulf of Mexico / Denali Library of Congress heading changes

1.     Discussion: K. Linke updated records using the “Denali, Mount (Alaska)” subject headings to use “McKinley, Mount (Alaska)” as a LCSH official heading and “Denali, Mount (Alaska)” as a local heading in April. The Gulf of Mexico headings will be changed at the end of May.

b.     Update on ILS Evaluation

                                                    i.     Discussion: Tomorrow is the vote on the ILS Evaluation Recommendation at the May All Directors Meeting.  If this passes, we will need to work on the deal with our new vendor and finalize it.  We are currently working on the timeline.  We’ll be shifting after the vote tomorrow assuming it passes.

c.      Updating Bibliovation to 7.04

                                                    i.     Discussion: There are problems that are not easily solvable.  We’ve tested functionality.  There are still outstanding bugs that we would want fixed first.  We would also want to do the upgrade before Summer Library Program and we’re running out of time.  There are problems with the display as it broke a large amount of our custom display.  There is some development in there too (i.e. add item on the item page, ISBN duplicate check, changes to Batch Item Edit).  Is it worth it try to do the upgrade?  It’s unlikely that LibLime would fix the bugs in time (i.e. in the upgrade staff can delete a checked out item).  The group is fine with going forward without the upgrade since it’s likely we’ll be migrating.

d.     Other Bibliovation questions and discussion

                                                    i.     Discussion: Heidi is retiring.  Kayla will be taking over the CMS committee and start chairing it and Amy will still attend.  Amy will be chairing the ILS Committee.

5.     Plan for Next meeting:  July 9, 2025 at 9:30 am via phone/video conference

6.     Adjournment at 10:00 am
