b.     Update on ILS Migration

                                                    i.     Discovery Layer design workgroup

1.     Discussion: A. Gannaway reported that they started meeting with SirsiDynix to get process going.  We are trying to figure out when LibLime can extract data for us so SirsiDynix can to start looking at mapping for the migration and system configuration.  ILS Staff are working on self-training with SirsiDynix (i.e. online tutorials) and putting together a plan for library training.  A. Gannaway is hoping to send out regular migration updates via email starting this week.  She us working on the web pages as well including a general timeline and a Question/Answer section.  We are looking at go-live date of April 16.  A. Gannaway would like to create an informal workgroup for the Discovery Layer to work on design.  We would like to draw in some people outside of this group for more feedback about what to put the homepage, what colors to use, how to arrange the data, etc.  She is not sure this workgroup would have a regular meeting date and the meeting dates may be more clustered around when the work is being done.  R. Page said she might be interested but is unsure at this point because she works at two different libraries.  M. Fahndrich and T. Campbell are interested in participating as well.  M. Fahndrich said that it would be nice to get more frontline staff input and she will talk to other Madison staff about this.  We will send out an email to recruit more members.  M. Fahndrich asked if an announcement been made to the public about the migration.  No.  SirsiDynix is creating a press release that A. Gannaway and V. Teal Lovely are working on with them.

c.      Other Bibliovation questions and/or discussion

                                                    i.     Discussion: R. Page asked if LibLime is still fixing bugs?  They are still working bugs, but the latest upgrade is not ready for production and the ILS Committee didn’t think ILS staff should put time into upgrading knowing we will be migrating.  We are still paying for hosting and support and they are required to provide that until we migrate, so they should be addressing things such as response time problems.

5.     Plan for Next meeting:  September 21, 2025 at 9:30 am via phone/video conference

6.     Adjournment at 9:52 am
