a. Review timeline and process

i. Discussion: A. Gannaway reviewed the information on the ILS Evaluation web page.  Topic workgroups are meeting to finalize checklists for the demos.  The demos are scheduled in May (SirsiDynix May 8-9, Polaris May 29-30).  The vendors will be using our checklists to prepare for their presentations.  Amy, Vicki, and Heidi are going to PLA in April and will look at Discovery Layers.  If anyone else is going to PLA you are welcome to join them.  They will also meet with SirsiDynix and Polaris to check in about the demos. The timeline for the ILS Evaluation is posted on the web page.  We may need to follow up webinars after the first round of demos.  This summer SCLS will be focused on learning about system administration with our vendors and doing any followup with the vendors.  We plan to schedule site visits for the fall.         

b. Questions

i. Discussion: A. Gannaway asked members if there were any Discovery Layers (besides SirsiDynix and Polaris) they thought we should look at.  So far we plan to look at Aspen and Bibliocommons.  M. Warren suggested looking at Ebsco.  We are planning to meet with them at PLA, their whole Discovery Layer is a little different.  K. Elchert is very interested in looking at Bibliocommons.  She also asked about mobile apps.  Our current mobile app will work with either SirsiDynix or Polaris but SirsiDynix is developing a new app.
