Meetings and Visits

I conducted the first annual visit of the year for SCLS.  I met with Tammy Hardinger at the Pittsville Community Library.  Afterwards, I drove to Stevens Point and attended the Portage County Board of Trustees meeting.

 

Building Update

The Building Needs Assessment Work Group held their last meeting on May 4th.  K. Goeden and M. Van Pelt thanked the group for their dedication and work.

MGE is moving the transformer at Pankratz starting May 9.  Power should be off until May 19.

The electrician is on site working.  The Keller construction trailer is on site.

The parking light poles have been removed and stored until their new locations are available.

SCLS has been helping WLA distribute their remaining equipment to members and staff.

The movers will be on site at Biltmore Lane for the move to Pankratz May 22 – May 30.

 

Foundation

The Foundation met on April 27.  The next meeting will be Tuesday, July 18 at 1:30.  It will be held 100% virtually.  All tax forms have been filed with the state and IRS.

 

Personnel.

Amanda Wakeman of the Cambria Library is the new director of the Columbus Library.

Samantha Seeman has been hired to be the new Cambridge Library Director.

 

Good News

The large tent used at the ground breaking will be available to members to borrow.
