Approval of previous meeting minutes: December 4, 2019

a. Motion: L. Stippich moved approval of the December 4, 2019 minutes.  J. Holmes seconded.

b. Discussion: None

c. Vote: Motion carried.


Annual Cluster Representative Training & Refresher:  M. Van Pelt reviewed the cluster representative job description and meeting protocols.


Action Items

a. Approve 2020 Calendar
i. Motion:  S. Kucher moved approval of the 2020 Calendar.  M.  Spellman seconded.
ii. Discussion: None
iii. Vote: Motion carried.


b. Retire network policy section regarding the use of the catalog launcher script for LINKcat (already approved by the ILS Committee)

i. Motion: J. Holmes moved approval to retire the network policy section regarding the use of the catalog launcher script for LINKcat. M. Spellman seconded. 

ii. Discussion: None

iii. Vote: Motion carried.

Requests for New Service: None



a. Technology Report  - you may view the report online.  Support for Microsoft Windows 7 ended on 1/14/20.  On March 31st, SCLS will disable network access for all Windows 7 computers that are on the network.  The only exceptions will be sorters and self-checks.  Enterprise Wireless implementations are ongoing.  J. Holmes inquired if there are any guidelines on the access point replacements based on the 7 year lifetime.  Replacement costs for the hardware are included in the annual fee.  SCLS is still working on getting a final number of access points that will be replaced during the next round of wireless in 7 years.  It may be necessary for a library to budget to replace additional access points that will not be covered in the next round.  More information will be available during the budget discussion next meeting.
