Call to Order: D. Jacobson called the meeting to order at 1:04 p.m.

Approval of previous meeting minutes: 2-6-2019

  2. Approved by motion: J. Schmidt moved approval of the 2-6-2019 minutes L. Stippich seconded. Motion carried.

Action Items: None


  1. Review service priorities for May All Directors There are not any services priorities.
  2. Preliminary 2020 technology budget proposal see handout in attached documents. V. Teal Lovely noted there will be a more complete budget in June.
  3. Desktop configuration on Public PCs:

A. Hoks prepared a live instance of what the Windows 10 patron PCs will look like.
The start menu in Windows 10 is difficult to change. The SCLS Technology Team proposes that there is a standardized start menu that will not change and will contain the Internet browsers and Microsoft Office applications. They also recommend keeping all three browsers it doesnt hurt and its already in our maintenance. The next Microsoft Edge version will resemble Chrome because its built on the Chromium platform.


The Technology Committee discussed each icon and function to determine if it is worth keeping. Here are the results of that discussion.

The Technology Committee also decided on the layout of the Windows 10 patron desktop icons.


L. Stippich moved approval of the Windows 10 patron desktop icons, the Window 10 patron start menu icons, the layout of the icons on the desktop/start menu and the transition from Paint to Paint 3D as well as the transition from Snipping Tool to Snip & Sketch. J. Holmes seconded. Motion carried.
