A. Hoks prepared a live instance of what the Windows 10 patron PCs will look like.
The start menu in Windows 10 is difficult to change. The SCLS Technology Team proposes that there is a standardized start menu that will not change and will contain the Internet browsers and Microsoft Office applications. They also recommend keeping all three browsers – it doesn’t hurt and it’s already in our maintenance. The next Microsoft Edge version will resemble Chrome because it’s built on the Chromium platform.
The Technology Committee discussed each icon and function to determine if it is worth keeping. Here are the results of that discussion.
Icons that will be removed from the Windows 10 patron desktop
Icons that will remain/be added to the Windows 10 patron desktop
The Technology Committee also decided on the layout of the Windows 10 patron desktop icons.
L. Stippich moved approval of the Windows 10 patron desktop icons, the Window 10 patron start menu icons, the layout of the icons on the desktop/start menu and the transition from Paint to Paint 3D as well as the transition from Snipping Tool to Snip & Sketch. J. Holmes seconded. Motion carried.
