Action Item: Approved creating a shortcut on the desktop for the Adobe Reader pdf editing software.

Call to Order:  T. Teska called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m.

Approval of previous meeting minutes: 6/2/2021

a. Motion: L. Stippich moved approval of the 6/2/2021 minutes.  Motion seconded.

b. Discussion: J. Holmes inquired whether Lumin was discussed at the last meeting.  It was discussed at the April 2021 meeting.

c. Vote: Motion carried.

Action Items:
PDF Editing Software: 

                        i. Acquire Lumin

                        ii. Adobe Reader – create shortcut on desktop

                        iii. Nothing – leave it as is
A. Hoks noted MPL submitted a request that SCLS look into PDF editing for public stations.  Adobe and Lumin were researched and trials were provided for all the libraries.  SCLS received a response from two libraries that participated in the trials and their recommendation was to create a shortcut on the desktop with Adobe Reader and not purchase Lumin.  J. Holmes inquired if Adobe Reader meets the needs that MPL requested.  Yes, they will be able to edit pdf forms.  The cluster representatives present indicated they were in favor of creating an Adobe Reader shortcut on the desktop and not purchase Lumin.  A. Hoks noted that K. Hilbelink created a tech bits article for using Adobe Reader.

            a. Motion: J. Holmes moved approval to create the Adobe Reader shortcut on the desktop.  S. Kucher seconded.
            b. Discussion: None
            c. Vote:  Motion carried.
