African American Biographical Database
The largest electronic collection of biographical information on African Americans from 1790-1950. From the famous to the everyday person, AABD includes profiles and full-text sketches providing both biographical detail and illuminating narratives chronicling the lives of Black Americans.

Search Ancestry Library for access to genealogy information in more than 4,000 databases, including census data, passenger lists, the Social Security Death Index, and much more.

BadgerCat
BadgerCat is a database of millions of records describing books and other library materials from all over Wisconsin. LINKcat and Marshfield Public Library records are included, as well as those from schools and other public libraries across the state. You may request these items through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). EBSCOHost learn how
EBSCOhost offers databases of general interest, academic and business magazine titles, health reference information, and much more. Many articles are available in full text.

Gale Virtual Reference Library
An easy to use interdisciplinary collection of over 400 Gale reference titles including such well know titles as American Decades, Novels for Students, and Grizmeks Animal Life Encyclopedia. This is a pilot project through June 2008.

GreenFILE
A collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles covering all aspects of human impact on the environment, including  content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more.  Some articles are available full text.

HeritageQuest provides access to genealogy records and books, including census data, local histories, tax rolls, cemetery lists, military rosters, and more.

LearningExpress Library learn how

LISTA
Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA) indexes more than 600 periodicals, plus books, research reports and proceedings. Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. Coverage in the database extends back as far as the mid-1960s.

Literature Resource Center learn how
Search the Literature Resource Center to find information about authors and their works. The LRC covers more than 90,000 novelists, poets, essayists, journalists and other writers.

LitFinder
Includes thousands of full-text poems, short stories, essays, speeches and plays. Also includes biographies, work summaries, photos, and a glossary.

netLibrary
The netLibrary collection includes the searchable full text of over 6,000 online books and it will continue to grow. This collection was purchased from netLibrary by a consortium of more than 165 Wisconsin Public Libraries.

NewspaperARCHIVE contains tens of millions of searchable newspaper pages, dating as far back as the 1700s. It is your gateway to searching and reading historical newspapers online. Use the archive to view, save and print full-page newspapers from around the world.

NoveList  learn how
NoveList is a fiction database that provides reviews, annotations, and much more for over 135,000 fiction titles. It also includes other content of interest to fiction readers, such as Author Read-alikes, What We're Reading, Book Discussion Guides, BookTalks, and Annotated Book Lists.

A collection of Digital Audio Books that can be downloaded to a computer, burned to CDs, or loaded onto many portable devices.
