Through the Wisconsin Public Library Consortium (WPLC), library customers can download ebooks and audio books from “Wisconsin's Digital Library” using a service called OverDrive. OverDrive ebooks work on most ebook readers -- like Kindles, Nooks, Sony Readers & iPads -- plus most smart phones.
Audio books are available through OverDrive in MP3 format. For a complete list of supported devices, visit OverDrive Help.
- Libby App -- A new app for readers to discover and enjoy eBooks and audiobooks from your library. Inspired by user and library feedback, Libby was designed to get people reading as quickly and seamlessly as possible. Read on for more details about Libby. Read more about Libby.
- OverDrive App -- The original OverDrive App for library patrons to use on a variety of devices, including the Kindle Fire. OverDrive has created promotional materials that have been customized with the WPLC URL (.pdf). More materials are available directly from OverDrive.
There is a small collection of streaming video. For help using this collection, visit OverDrive Help.
You can download and print any of these files yourself, or we can print copies for SCLS member libraries (charged against your annual printing allocation). To request printed materials, contact Mark Ibach.
