- SCLS strongly recommends that the ambient temperature where the network equipment operates not exceed 40ºC or 104ºF with an optimal ambient temperature of 20ºC or 68ºF. If measures are not taken to maintain relative optimal temperature and hardware fails due to overheating, the library may be liable for purchasing replacement equipment.
